Manaccan Pre-School has been running for over thirty years
and has been based in a purpose built building at Manaccan Primary School since September 2003. The Pre-school is run by a voluntary committee of parents, carers and teachers.
Our
primary aim is to enhance the development and education of children under school age in a setting which has strong community
connections.
We also aim to provide a safe, stimulating and fun setting, where children are able to learn through
play, and to encourage independence and confidence.
We work within the Early Years Foundation Stage so that children
develop key stage skills to prepare them for the time when they start school. We actively encourage parental involvement and
are keen to provide opportunities for you and your family to be involved in the activities of the Playgroup and the progress
of your child.
Here is some key information about us:
- We admit
children aged two and over. Children do not need to be potty trained.
- Our hours are 9am to 3.15pm on Monday
and Wednesday and Friday and 9am to 12pm on Tuesday and Thursday.
We charge £6 per session for two-year-olds, and £10.50 per session for non-funded three-year-olds.
Invoices are issued at the start of each term and payment can be made in full, in two instalments per term or weekly. From
the term after your child is three years old, you can apply for funding for up to five three-hour sessions a week. This funding
needs to be applied for at the start of each term. Further information on this can be obtained from the Jo Foreman.
